Wave Box - STATIC Vol 1
The Wave Box was produced in response to STATIC (Original Surf Soundtracks, Vol. 1).
A collaboration between award-winning composer CJ Mirra and filmmaker Chris McClean.
When lifted up, the box makes the sound of the sea. Depending on how the box is tilted, the waves roar violently or lap gently against the shore. The product itself becomes an instrument immersing the user in the sound of crashing waves.
The Wave Box was recognised for its excellence in design by Creative Review Awards and featured in the 2020 Annual.
The Wave Box was also won a place on the D&AD shortlist for packaging design/Limited edition 2020.
